☺9/11

Being in a multi-racial country
really makes me feel very aware
about racism.
As you guys should know,
today is the 9/11.
It's the 8th anniversary
of the plane crash that
brought down world trade center.
I watched 15 mins of the video
that shows the reaction of people
that was in that area.
One of this scene, they showed 4 person
jumped off a building and you can
see their whole body just dropped like
a piece of rock.
It was really terrifying.
Every second i got goosebumps.
From that day onward, people starts to
generalise terrorist as muslims which
really cause lots of unfairness.
Muslims will be thoroughly checked
in the American airport.
Muslims will be carefully watched.
.
If you watched Tyra Banks Show,
a girl that was anti-islam,
acted as a muslim girl wearing
tudong and kebaye and walked
around hollywood.
The girl asked a man to take her photo,
but the man do not want to because
of the way the girl dress.
Middle-eastern people are being looked down
in America because they assume that they're associated
with terrorism
.
It might be difficult for us to relate to this,
but imagine the harmony
in Singapore somehow
disappear.
Singapore will then be separated
according to race.
Chinatown will
be only for the chinese and
any other races step into
this area will be scrutinise and
insulted.
And may also be killed
You have to be careful of what you are wearing everytime.
For the muslims, wearing the baju kurong
or tudong, will make you more vulnerable.
Imagine walking down the street and the
next thing you know you are being hunted
down by a group of other race.
Schools will have race-based cliques.
And there's always conflict between races.
Going down to a store will be counted as doing
something dangerous.
You are encourage to carry weapon with you
everytime to defend yourself.
Number of casualties will increase.
Triads and gangs will be form.
Going to Tampines Mall will be like
walking right through a battlefield.
.
Haha i'm overreacting but that doesn't
mean we can take other races for granted.
I'm glad Singapore is such a peaceful country.
I love all my chinese and indian friends:D
Join me,an be an
ANTI-RACIST!
